Transparent draws with cryptographic proof for raffles, teams and companies
The result appears here after the public beacon locks the draw.
Transparent draws with cryptographic proof for raffles, teams and companies
EntropyDraw publishes cryptographic proof for every draw. Rules lock first; the number exists only after a public drand beacon is published — so nobody can compute the winner in advance.
Enter the minimum and maximum numbers for your transparent draw. Add an optional description for raffles, teams or campaigns.
Rules lock first. EntropyDraw waits for a future public drand round — a value that does not exist yet — then extracts the result with rejection sampling over the locked range or name list.
The drawn number is published with SHA-256 hashes, QR code and verification URL. Anyone can reproduce the draw and confirm integrity.
We calculate SHA-256 of the raw bytes from entropy.jpg. That hash is a public domain anchor: the same file stays the same. It is not a surprise at click time.
The draw hash mixes the public entropy.jpg anchor with the locked range or list, description, and a future League of Entropy (drand) round. Until that round is published, the number cannot be computed.
The 256-bit hash is converted to an integer within the chosen range using rejection sampling. This technique ensures every number has exactly the same probability, with no modulo bias.
Same locked inputs plus the published beacon always produce the same result — integrity after the fact, unpredictability before the beacon exists.
Every draw publishes complete cryptographic proof: image entropy, SHA-256 hashes, range, date/time and a permanent link. With this data, draw auditing is independent — anyone can reproduce the number without trusting the operator.
Draws wait for a public League of Entropy (drand) beacon nobody on this site can choose. Rules lock before that beacon exists, so the winner cannot be ground in advance.
Every step uses SHA-256 with the avalanche effect: any change to range, timestamp or description completely changes the hash — manipulation becomes detectable.
Hashes, range, date/time and description are published. Any participant, auditor or spectator can reproduce the draw and validate the result.
No black boxes: the flow is deterministic, documented and verifiable. The same inputs always produce the same result.
Questions about transparent draws, cryptographic proof and SHA-256
An auditable online draw publishes all data needed to verify the result: entropy source, SHA-256 hashes, range, date/time and description. On EntropyDraw, anyone can independently reproduce the draw without trusting the operator.
Rules lock first. EntropyDraw waits for the next public drand round, checks the beacon, builds a SHA-256 draw hash from the locked inputs plus that beacon, then uses rejection sampling. The image alone does not hide the future number.
Real entropy is unpredictability nobody can choose. entropy.jpg is public and fixed, so it is an audit anchor. In auditable mode the surprise is the League of Entropy beacon, which does not exist at lock time.
A technique that ensures a fair draw: instead of using modulo (which can favor some numbers), we reject values outside the range until a valid number is found. Every number has exactly the same probability.
After publication, the result is immutable due to SHA-256 hashes. Pre-draw manipulation is prevented by the public beacon (drand): since the rules are locked before the beacon exists, no one can predict or choose a favorable outcome.
After the draw, scan the QR code or open the verification URL. The page shows the number, SHA-256 hashes, range, timestamp and entropy image. With this published data, you confirm the result is legitimate.
